Last weekend saw the beginning of Delapre Abbey’s Christmas Fair where a variety of carefully curated stalls sold unique, festive, handmade gifts.
The Christmas Fair is an annual event at the historic abbey but, for the first time ever, the public are being asked to donate one item of canned or packaged food instead of paying for an entry fee.The donated food will then be distributed to homeless charity, Northampton Hope Centre and other local community groups.
With festive food, a variety of children’s activities and intricate Christmas decorations everywhere you look, there will be something for everyone to enjoy at the event.
The Christmas Fair will continue across Saturday December 12 and Sunday December 13 from 10am to 4pm.
Christmas trees have been erected all around the historic abbey.
