A new coffee shop in Northampton has finally been able to welcome customers after having to delay their opening date due to Covid-19.
Esquires Coffee, based on Dychurch Lane in Northampton town centre, was due to open back in March, the same week that the government announced lockdown. Ali, Halima and baby Arya have been anxiously awaiting to hear when they can officially open, and were excited to finally be able to unlock their doors to customers this week.
Halima said: “We are so excited to get people in and get our cafe up and running – we feel like we’ve been waiting for so long! I just want to say a massive thank you to the public. They have been so lovely and supportive, the Northampton community are amazing.
“We’ve also had so much support form local businesses. They’ve been popping in to see us and it’s been so nice to meet them all.
“We both always dreamt of opening our own coffee shop. I used to work as a Radiographer, so this is a completely different career – but this is our dream and we’re just so happy that we can finally share our new venture with people!”
The team have been busy creating new delicious dishes for customers to enjoy. As from Monday, the new menu will offer tempting food for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner, as well as children’s menus. The drinks menu includes a range of Fairtrade, organic coffee, cold presses, milkshakes and fresh juices.
Daily cakes will be available along with pastries, treats and gluten free goodies.
The cafe has invested in compostable materials and believe in using products that are beneficial to the environment. The interior has a very green and welcoming vibe, which pairs perfectly with their environmentally-friendly ethos.
Esquires are excited to be offering outdoor seating from Saturday which ties in perfectly with the July sunshine that’s on the way. As from Monday they will also be offering indoor socially distanced seating. The cafe is dog friendly so the public are welcome to bring their fury friends along too!
