Northampton offers an array of shopping centres and shops, including independent retailers and major high street names. Most days of the week there is an open air market in the town centre held on the historic market square. The market is a bargain hunter’s paradise and there are regular farmers’ markets. Northampton itself has many modern facilities including the pedestrianised shopping area of Abington Street and several indoor shopping precincts.

The Grosvenor Shopping Centre is Northampton’s largest shopping centre and boasts over 60 stores and restaurants including ladieswear, menswear, gifts and novelties.
From an interesting and varied selection of smaller shops to large high street names, the Grosvenor Centre provides a wide selection of attractive goods to cater for the whole family. The Grosvenor Centre is open seven days a week. Plenty of parking spaces can be found in the Grosvenor Car Park with easy access to the shops.

Situated in the heart of Northampton, the large two level complex is linked to an extensive short stay car park. Northampton town centre has over 20 car parks with 6,000 spaces, all no more than a 6-minute walk from the main shopping thoroughfare. All of the car parks are patrolled and have CCTV security.
Kettering's Newlands Shopping Centre is set among several pedestrianised shopping streets, all easily accessible from the town centre's pay and display car parking. In the heart of Wellingborough is the Swansgate Centre, a shopping mall that is home to over 50 shops. Having extensive free parking and being adjacent to several main shopping streets, this modern shopping precinct remains popular. The centre has disabled facilities, a cafe, a young children's play area, and many high street branded shops. Catering for most day-to-day needs, the Swansgate Centre is close to the Market Square, situated beside All Hallows Church.
