Two racing drivers from Northampton have been selected as drivers for a world-renowned racing team for the 4th year in a row.

21-year-old Noah Cosby and 42-year-old Asha Silva have been announced as 2026 drivers for Team BRIT, the world’s only competitive team of all-disabled racing drivers.

The pair will be reunited as driving partners after a year racing with others, competing in a GT4 BMW in the Britcar Endurance Championship. This means they’ll be racing at the UK’s most iconic tracks including Silverstone and Brands Hatch, vying for a championship win.

Noah, who is from Heathencote in Towcester, is paraplegic after breaking his back in a motocross accident, and uses the team’s innovative hand control technology which enables him to drive without the use of his legs.

Asha is from Barton Seagrave in Kettering and continues her drive to inspire and encourage other people to understand their own mental health, having been diagnosed with adult autism and ADHD at the age of 38.

The pair joined the team in 2023, learning their craft in a Citroen C1, and have both steadily moved up the ranks, showcasing their skill and talent. In 2025, Asha drove with her partner Bobby Trundley and the pair were crowned winners of their class in the Britcar Endurance Championship, narrowly missing out on the overall title.

This will be Asha’s first year driving a GT4 and Noah’s second, having spent 2025 developing his skills in a GT4 Mclaren.

The pair will head out to Portimao in Portugal later this month to take part in Winter testing ahead of the first race of the season at Donington on the 21st March.

Noah said: “I’m super excited to be back with Asha this year. We made such a great team and work really well together so I know we’ll put in a brilliant performance.

“We’re driving a new car for the team, a BMW GT4, so it’s going to be fun learning the handling of a new car.

“From the start of my time with Team BRIT, it’s been the most amazing experience and the return to motorsport I so desperately needed after my accident. Now I want to start collecting trophies and getting on those podiums and I’m confident this is going to be a fantastic year.”

Asha said: “Being back with Noah will be like having my little brother back alongside me in the garage. We’re really different people and different drivers but we work so well as a team.

“It was fantastic being with Bobby last year and to take the class win after a superb year, was the perfect way to end the season. Now, having been so close, I want a full championship win and will be doing everything I can to get there with Noah.”
