Dogs stolen from Rothwell reunited with owner as man arrested

An arrest has been made today in relation to the theft of two pet spaniel dogs from Rothwell.

It comes as the female cocker spaniels were allegedly taken earlier in the week.

Northamptonshire Police have confirmed that their inquiries are still ongoing and the dogs have been returned ‘safe and well’.

Hundreds have taken to Northamptonshire Police’s Facebook page today to commend their hard work on the case.

Super Intendent Dennis Murray added: “My thanks to DC Debbie Howes, Burglary team and @KettProActive team who made this happen following community intelligence.”

Facebook posts to try to find the dogs were shared thousands of times in a bid to find the dogs on Thursday.
